Home manager and Homemaker services consist of light housekeeping activities (meal preparation and routine household care) provided by a trained homemaker when the individual who is regularly responsible for these activities is temporarily absent or unable to manage the home and care for him or herself or others in the home.

Respite care is a service that provides supportive care and supervision to individuals under age 21 when the primary caregiver is unable to perform the duties of a caregiver. This service is generally used due to a brief planned or emergency absence, or when the primary caregiver is available.

Personal care services provide medically necessary assistance with activities of daily living (ADL) and age-appropriate instrumental activities of daily living (ADL) that enable the recipient to accomplish tasks that they would normally be able to do for themselves, if they did not have a medical condition or disability.
ADLs include:

- Bathing
- Dressing
- Toileting
- Transferring
- Maintaining continence (examples include taking care of a catheter or colostomy bag or changing at disposable incontinence product when the recipient is unable to control his bowel or bladder functions).

IADLs (when necessary for the recipient to function independently) include:
- Personal hygiene
- Light housework
- Laundry
- Meal preparation
- Using the telephone to take care of essential tasks (examples include paying bills and setting up medical appointments)
